Roles and Responsibilities
– Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities and risks.
– Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
– Negotiation:
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
– Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors to protect the interests of the organization.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance.
– Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the purchasing team.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
